In front of the glacier : Svanetie

     I was with Tomas and his friends in Svanetie, my 1st stay in High Caucasus !  The only word that I could find in front of this beautiful and wild nature was : AMAZING !

Mountains and glaciers all around us, Nature  untouch by human . Rural life like how it was 100 hundred years in France : farmers don’t use machines but just beef to cultivate, drink water from the springs, eat what they cultivate and cook, they don’t have internet …  3 days with intensiv hiking around Usha mount  untill more than 3000 meters !!! Alone in the front of mountains with glacier and waterfall sound.

     Negativ side  from this life far from modern progress can be maybe the behaviour of Svane people. In fact we were surprise to meet some « close » people in Goergia , not so hospitable and warm like people that we meet usually in this country. It was also 1st time for me that i felt like a real tourist , paying for travelling and sleeping,. In this region it’s a real bussiness, don’t expect to hitch-hike there of be host for free !

    But finally for me it was also a subject of reflexion about way of life that we choose and consequence of the modern progress and globalization  : I’m not sure that they need it in there region because they look quiet and hqppy like that , in harmony  with the Nature!
