Abdou- "Oh Armenia such a wonderful trip!! First of all, because today, I would like to tell you about our trip to the country just next to Georgia. First, be aware that the evening before departure my friends and me (Finja and Pierre) were seriously the most motivated for the trip, because our project was to make the whole trip in Hitchhiking. To be totally honest, none of us had any experience with transportation. Our plan was to leave Rustavi around 10 am on 13/12/18 and then hitchhike to Gyumri (Armenia)in the day which took us between 6-7 hours, we took around 10 cars. We were rather lucky, because we took only 3 Rustavi car at the border including a lorry truck, were viewed and took the same truck 5 days after the return (residence) but I will come back. Thanks Maps.Me, three beginners who are going for a brand-new trip fortunately, I had the map and the route on my phone. After the Armenian border, having a car to take us was really complicated, because maybe the sign that we were fessing was not correct, because all the cars honk us where to ride their hoods with a sign towards there, I do not know how to describe it, but we were super lost and more we can use our Gamarjoba. With great luck, we managed to reach Gyumri with moments of doubts, cold, beautiful scenery and once, we waited around 40 to 50 min to market to have a car. When traveling, we really had moments of pure luck. Our arrival at Gyumri was one of those times: we were waiting on the side of the road in the cold for 20 min and a young man in a beautiful BMW took us, we were 40 minutes from Gyumri, for the first time in the day, I slept a little. We arrived in the center, and he left us in front of the first Restore he saw, so we went out with a SPASIBO (thanks in Russian) and returned to this Restore, we found by a big hazard friend that the we wanted to contact via messenger thanks to the Wi-Fi of the restaurant.
During the trip, we stayed at four different groups of friends, so two apartments are in Gyumri and two different in Yerevan. In the first, we visited Mother Armenia the next day in the beautiful snow of Gyumri. Hitchhiking to Yerevan was easier. I think the big cities are simpler. A lot of people are going to the capital. In Yerevan, I was able to see some friends who come from the organization of shipments, some good party, some good Shawarma. So I learned that I Shawarma comes from Armenia. This experience was really great and stressful because there is a lot of uncertainty that we do not face every day. I'm not going to lie to you it's really nice to come back home, here in Rustavi, you never feel better than at home".
